randoms

my life is ridiculous. i am blessed beyond what i could ever imagine with friends, family, and just stinkin' awesome things i get to do every day. i am a senior at the university of arkansas (woo pig sooie) majoring in dietetics. i enjoy my major so much, and i'm so glad i ended up in fayetteville, ar (even though dallas, tx will ALWAYS be in my heart).
i do life with a k (k-life) in fayetteville. it's an awesome ministry where we get to hang out with jr high/high school kids doing ridiculously crazy stuff (like bowling in 80's gear). i get to live life with senior girls from fayetteville high school and show them how much God LOVES them and wants us to have life to the full (john 10:10)
i am also involved with the jr high ministry @ fellowship community church. me and my three awesome co-leaders lead this group of 9th grade springdale girls. they're crazy and make us do strange things like dress up as nerds and go to jason's deli. so if you ever see a group of girls who are dressed up as something really strange... yes that's probably us. we have fun diving into each other's lives, encouraging each other and keeping each other accountable... gospel community is where it's at!

KAA... you know
at the deuce it goes down!
ok so my heart is for inner city kids. i got to work at an inner city kids' christian sports camp called kids across america this summer, and it was INCREDIBLE! God is doing some awesome things in that place... including shaping and molding the lives of everyone there, not just the kids that come, but also the counselors.
main take away from camp = it's not about me. i got to coach volleyball, drive boats on the lake, send kids up climbing walls, jump around in the "gym", dress up in ridiculous costumes for night programs, get hype, wild out, and not only tell kids about God's LOVE for them but show them as well. giving up "my" summer = COMPLETELY WORTH IT
this is my familias. we are beach bums (when we get the chance). my parentals are AWESOME... they've been married over 25 years and are fallin more in love each day. (dad, you're just gonna have to admit your life is the COUNTRY song "then" by brad paisley). i convinced my not-so-little bro to convert, so he is now a razorback (2nd best decision of your life). i have the most awesome 2 little sisters i could ever ask for. so pretty much, my family is bombDOTcom
alright, now you know a lot of randoms about me... and can kind of see what the mind of the person looks like that these thoughts from a kitchen are coming from. i know i'm a little strange with the connections i make. my friends and family make fun of my abbrevs (that's abbreviations chopped) and my made up words (ya know the ones i smash together), but who likes being normal anyways?!
